The Network of Childhood Illness Organisations 

Children in Hospital Ireland is a founding member of the network of childhood illness groups in order to promote relevant collaborations, share information and expertise and create a combined voice for advocating for enhanced services for children and young people with experience of hospital, and their families

European Association for Children in Hospital

Children in Hospital Ireland is a founding member and represented at board level. EACH is an alliance of sister national organisations from 16 European Countries and from Japan, who collaborate on promoting the welfare of sick and hospitalised children nationally and at a European level.

Children’s Rights Alliance (CRA)

CHI is represented at board level. The CRA promotes the rights of children with particular reference to the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Children in Hospital Ireland is a member. The Wheel aims to strengthen and unify the Voluntary and Community Sector. CHI is involved in a number of special interest committees.

CHI is a member organisation of the centre. The Carmichael Centre provides a supportive environment for small voluntary organisations.

Irish Association for Hospital Play Staff (IAHPS)

The Irish Association of Hospital Play Staff is a small professional organisation that promotes play in hospital settings and the role of the hospital play specialist.

Action for Sick Children (UK)

Charity focuses on national issues together with its network of branches, who also work locally to improve health services for children and young people.

National Association for Hospital Play Staff (UK)

The NAHPS promotes the physical and mental well-being of children and young people who are patients in hospital, hospice or receiving medical care at home. The charity aims to promote high professional standards for play staff, and to ensure the provision of appropriate therapeutic and stimulating play facilities in hospital. NAHPS provides professional support for all hospital play staff.
