Fundraising Ideas
You can help us to raise funds that will support our play services and enable us to continue to provide support to children in hospital and their families. We want children in hospitals to have fun – and we ant you to have fun fundraising to make this happen.
We have a lots of fundraising ideas but we would be delighted to hear your ideas and support you fully with your fundraising. Here are some ideas in the meantime.
Ball Games: Organise an inter-school tournament (tennis/football/ basketball etc.) Charge a small registration fee for each player or team.
Silent Auction: Solicit donations for an auction and have friends, family and teachers bid on items – at school or an event.
Superhero run: A run with a difference – run as your favourite SuperHero. This is a great themed run for photo ops that can help motivate more donations even after the event is done.
Formal Day: Get fancy with a Formal Day instead of casual day where students can raise money to be allowed to wear formal clothes to school for the day. Ball gowns and suits should be part of the dress code and teachers and staff could dust down their old debs outfits.
Pyjama Day: Don’t feel like going the super-fancy route? Make it really causal instead with a Pyjama Day fundraiser. Students might just love the excuse to show up at school in their jammies – especially fun during the colder months when you just want to be warm and cozy! (Don’t forget that teachers showing up in footie pyjamas = instant social media gold)
Gaisce Award.
Organise a school event as part of your Gaisce Awards programme. We have a range of ideas that will be a perfect fit with the Gaisce programme.
