This information is a general overview of what steps Children in Hospital Ireland and Hospitals are taking to keep volunteers, staff, children and families safe while actively volunteering. COVID19 and risk reduction practices required for volunteering are evolving with time and you will be notified of changes.

The specifics such as where to obtain a disposable face mask in your hospital, will be hospital dependent. The most up to date specifics will be explained carefully for you as you return to volunteering.

Monthly check-ins with the volunteer manager or volunteer coordinator will be an online form. These take 2 minutes or less to complete. It will note your status for COVID risk factors such as if you have symptoms, have or will travel internationally, have been notified you are a close contact of a positive case or are awaiting test results.
