Isolation Packs for hospitals

Would you like to get involved in a project with Children in Hospital Ireland?

Many children, due to the nature of their illness, spend time in isolation units while in hospital and we are providing infection control, approved, aged appropriate individual packs that can be given to children in isolation units in hospital.  This means that their rooms are not passed over by play volunteers, they are included in the activities of the day, as well as providing fun and stimulation.  Packs are designed for ages 3-8, and 8-12 year olds.  Please click here for more information about how your school could help.

Choose Children in Hospital Ireland as your charity for the year.

Children in Hospital Ireland would relish the opportunity to partner with Transition Year Students.  Engaging with young people and gathering their views, ideas and enthusiasm is invaluable as part of the process in helping to design and deliver services that meet the needs of children and young people confined to hospital.   Consider becoming part of our Youth Consulting Panel!

We can explain about the work that our team of over 400 volunteers do within hospitals around Ireland and highlight the benefits and supports for children and their families in the health care setting and the difference that it makes.

Please contact us and we can arrange to come and meet with your TY Students: info@childreninhospital.ie

We find that engaging with schools during transition year can be very much in keeping with the TY Curriculum  – specifically The CSPE (Civic, Social and Political Education) module.

We actively encourage Transition Year teams to educate their school about the work of Children in Hospital Ireland and raise money to maintain our services in as creative and innovative way as possible and we have lots of ideas to share.
