Nobody wants to be in hospital, especially a child in hospital at Christmas time. With your support, we can help bring some magic and make hospital a happier place for all children and their families this Christmas. Donations will support our volunteer play service across 15 hospitals and donation of play materials to 23 paediatric units nationwide.

- More than 18,000 children received a play visit from our Play Volunteers
- Almost 30,000 play packs and colouring packs were given to children and young people during their stay in hospital.
- Our JustAsk greeted almost 8,000 families in CHI at Crumlin.

Support Families Like Linda & Arlo’s
Thanks to our volunteer services, we were able to schedule play volunteers to be with Arlo at a time when Linda needed extra support.
“My son, Arlo, spent the first year of his life in CHI Crumlin. CIH provided me with amazing support during this incredibly difficult time. With a toddler at home, it was hard to be with Arlo as much as I wanted to be. Arlo had a network of dedicated volunteers who got to know him and came and sat with him. As a parent, particularly in postpartum, it was a huge comfort to me that Arlo was entertained, cuddled and loved, even when I couldn’t be there.”
