Staff Volunteering Opportunities

Office-Based Volunteering

CIH work with many organisations who volunteer their time to assemble colouring packs, play packs or parent-care packs that are distributed to children and families in inpatient, outpatient and emergency departments. Due to infection control in the hospital, items must be single-use only so we distribute them in individual sealed bags. These packing days are a great way for staff to come together and actively get involved in providing play items to children in hospital.

This can be hosted in your office where team members can volunteer anywhere from 30 minutes to half a day to assemble packs. We would be incredibly grateful if you could supply the funds for the play items and print colouring pages. We also welcome you to add your logo or branded items to the packs.

*Due to limited storage, we can only facilitate a certain number of these packs / volunteer events throughout the year. Make sure you book in as early as you can with us.

In Hospital Volunteering

We have a number of volunteer roles available across 15 hospital locations in Ireland. If members of your organisation are interested, we can we can host a tailored training day with your team and create a volunteer schedule to suit. Volunteering is hospital is a regular and long-term commitment. All volunteers must be vetted.

Fundraise

We are open to all fundraising ideas and would be delighted to work with you on creating the best fundraising initiative for your organisation.

Children in Hospital Ireland provide services throughout the country that you can actively support.
